Mandarin Language Tools: The New Technology Wave

The NY Times just published an article about Mandarin training in the modern era. It’s a brave new world with all sorts of new gadgets. If you’re studying Chinese, you can now network with language speakers via webcam, or else you can download podcasts from the Internet. When I was studying Mandarin, the teacher made us go to a room where we checked out audio cassettes - one at a time.
